June/July 2025
Saturday Morning Sailing 9:00 AM to Noon (15 hours instruction)
Dates: June 14, 21, 28 and July 12 and 19:
This Learn to Sail program is for Guppies (6 to 12 years) and Sharks (9 to 14) with little to no sailing experience. Both groups will mostly sail in single-handed Optis, though sharks may switch to two-person 420s based on experience. A parent must be present during the class.
Fee is $400 for nonmembers and $175 for members
June 2025
June 9 – 13: Junior Week / Camp *
This Sailing program is for all juniors from 9 to 18 years and of all experience levels. Juniors will be separated into skill levels using Optis, 420s, Flying Scots, Sunfish and Lasers. Sunfish and Laser sailors provide their own boat. Although primarily targeted toward AYC members’ children and grandchildren, there may be a few openings for guest juniors with sailing experience. Overnight camp is available for juniors 12 years and up. Day camp (ages 9 to 11) runs from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Sailing and Overnight camp fee is $550 nonmembers and $400 Members.
The fee is $425 for nonmembers and $200 for members (Includes Friday night dinner)
* Parents are expected to contribute at least 8 hours of volunteer time for each enrolled child
Weekday Programs
June - July Weekday Sailing 9:30 am to 4:00 pm (30 hours instruction)
This Learn to Sail weekday program for is for Guppies (9 to 12 years) and Sharks (10 to 15) with little to no sailing experience. The juniors will be sailing single-handed Optis.
The Two-Person sailing program is for juniors 12 to 18. In this program, juniors will be matched based on similar sailing experience in 420s and Flying Scots. Juniors participating in more than one week of Two-Person sailing will progress further into racing skills and tactics.
Fee is $550 for nonmembers and $400 for members

June 23 – 27, Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm
June 30 - July 4: No junior sailing programs are offered
July 7 – 11, Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm
July 14 – 18, Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm
July 21 – 25, Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm
July 28 – August 1, Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm
